Well, if there's a way to ruin something good, human beings will find it. The day was glorious, typical for Patriots' Day in the Commonwealth. The Boston Marathon began and the Red Sox played their traditional 11:00 game at Fenway Park. Red Sox legend Johnny Pesky passed away today at the age of 92. He would have been 93 next month on September 27th.

They plan more ceremonies next Friday on the 20th as that's the actual date they opened in 1912, the week that the Titanic sank. The parade for the Boston Bruins was spectacular! The weather was gorgeous, and the crowds were estimated to be close to a million. The Boston Police said it was the biggest parade our City of Champions has had yet. It was a sea of black-and-gold! The Sox were down 1-3 in the ALCS and were behind tonight in this elimination game. They just won 8-7 after a HUGE comeback!

Still two more wins if they want to get to a World Series, but they're still alive!
