Well, I guess I liked some people, but I didn't really love anyone like I do with the new lot.

Yeah, and I think the saddest thing is that she's probably just going to get more fucked up (unless in series four she gets ~healed by Freddie's true love or something equally cheap and nauseating) and, just. I really need her to be okay!

LOL, I'm so worried it's actually going to happen! I'm so used to shipping Effy with girls that it's quite alarming to rewatch canon and be reminded that she's supposedly in love with him.

You made Effy's circumstances worse?

(Is it bad that I'm now getting the urge to protect her from you? Sorry.)

Can't wait for the 80s AU. Are you going to post in parts or wait till it's all done?

Heh, *I* kind of feel like she needs protecting from me.

I'm going to wait till it's all done before I post it - I'm not really a fan of WsIP or chaptered fic (which doesn't mean I don't sometimes read them, but they don't really suit my way of writing).

Oh no, as a reader, I agree. I mean, there's always that fear that a WIP won't get finished, and I generally like to sit down and read the whole thing at length.

There should be some kind of security force for the ~protection of Effy. Writers in this fandom can't seem to help hurting her!

At least the fanwriters mostly seem invested in ~fixing Effy as best they can?

I've always preferred reading completed stories too, and as a writer I like to be able to edit something that's finished. That way I can make sure it all fits together, and if there's something in an early section that needs changing I'm not bound by what I've already posted. Win-win, really.

A couple of things: True Blood is so EPIC this season. I love love love how all the plot lines (Jason and the newlins, Maryanne and Tara and the Vamps heading back from Dallas) are finally meeting up for the last three episodes. Some of the subplots were beginning to drag, but now that everything is about to collide, clusterfuck style, I AM SO EXCITED.

I love Godric. The actor is so talented, he managed to bring such a sad gravitas to the character even though he's such a tiny little guy. Yeah. Poor Eric. This show makes me feel so much ( ... )

Yeah, I think the last few eps of True Blood are going to be really awesome (or, I hope they will be). Mostly I can't wait to see what they do with Maryann - she's such a genuinely villian that I hope she goes out in a suitably awesome way.

Godric was such a great character (and I agree, it was excellent casting) that part of me wishes he'd stuck around, but I think in a way his little arc was so well-done that it would've ruined things if he'd stayed.

Madame De Luca! She was amazing. Series four needs guest characters that are more like her and less like Jonny White. And, yeah, Pandora gets short shrift in fandom but I kind of love her, and I love her friendship with Effy.
