I just heard that Kate McGarrigle died. I didn't know a whole lot of Kate's own music, I mainly just think of her as Rufus Wainwright's mother, but I love the whole Wainwright/McGarrigle clan and find myself really upset at this news.

I don't really know what to say, so instead have a song which sums up why I love this family so much:

- Apparently today was the last day of filming for Skins series four! ngl, I am ridiculously sad about this. I don't know WHY I'm so invested in The X Factor this year, but I am genuinely quite gutted by Lucie leaving. :( Also, would quite like to punch Simon Cowell in the face.

Joe to win now, I guess? Meh.

I'm not sure how to talk about this month's obligatory Skins fandom wank (SIGH) without it turning into "I wish I could bake a cake filled with rainbows and smiles and everyone would eat and be happy" but...
