3 years later and a world of difference
3 years since I last posted on LJ. Where does the time go? Since those last sad and pathetic posts many changes have occurred and they are all good, for the most part. New job, friends, car, experiences, travel, house and much happiness! -
I miss her
I miss her everyday, but what I miss most is just having her there with me. I miss her smile and her laugh. I miss her waking up in the morning and uttering one word, coffee! I miss making her breakfast on the weekends and watching the Boston sports teams both in person and on TV. She was my life for so many years and it is hard to understand ( Read more... ) -
People you knew
When a relationship ends, so do the friends and family that came with knowing each other. In my case, her family and friends were a big part of our relationship. My family is scattered around the country and hers are mostly about an hour drive away, so naturally we spent a lot of time with them. A birthday missed!
Today is her 35th birthday. She is the same age as I was when we first started dating. Time is a funny thing in that you don't realize how much of it has passed until you hit certain milestones in life. Thinking of her
Today was a good day, but now I am thinking of her and what she'll be doing tonight after work. I miss her so much and the life we had together and I still haven't come to grips as to why we broke up so abruptly. I've been seeing a life coach / grief counselor and she has been helping me cope with the loss, but sometimes I am just overcome with ( Read more... ) -

A really tough day
I went for a long drive today and I just cannot stop thinking about her. I was fine up until Christmas Day and now I miss her more than ever. I feel so alone and depressed and I don't know what to do anymore. She was my life and nothing much else matters to me anymore. -
Christmas Day 2013
Well Christmas Day is almost over and with the exception of feeling really bad for about an hour I'm happy to say that I made through okay. We were together for so long and when it ended abruptly I feared for the holidays and being alone. Thankfully I have my parents and family for support. Christmas Eve 2013
