Serious frustration. My computer at work has been running slow. A couple rounds of back and forth with IT led to the conclusion that a RAM upgrade was in order. 6:45 pm: Mommy finishes giving Aa his bath. We've started his evening routine earlier than usual, since he never really went down for his nap this afternoon and is acting pretty tired. Plus, Mommy has a girls' night out date she wants to get away for.

Yesterday I was wearing one of my many t-shirts with rhinos on them, and as I was helping change Aa he reached up, grabbed my shirt, and repeated \'nʌ noʊ\ two or three times.

And in non-child news...um...I got nothing. Someday I'll have a life of my own again. Give me, I dunno, nineteen, twenty years?

Last Thursday we delivered Aa to his grandparents, who then took him on to North Carolina for phragmites' family's annual Beach Week. Last year's Beach Week was his first time spending the night without his parents: he went up a few days before us. So I keep fighting the urge to share the latest cute thing Aa has done, or said, or whatever, since experience has shown that this is a lot more interesting to the parent sharing than to anyone being shared with. When my grandmother died, part of her legacy was a share in the mineral rights to some oil-bearing land in West Virginia.
