I had a third round interview (it's gone high, higher, low, highest in terms of seniority) today. My first interviewer had angryface lite, which always makes me feel like I need to talk more to compensate. He later told me he always assumes the worst in people, which is lovely, but he started smiling more toward the end! I hope that's a good sign. ( Read more... )

I had a second-round interview for one of my companies from last week today, and nothing from the other. I'm slightly worried - not because I didn't do well, it was a B+ at least today - because at present I have a lot riding on a little.

I ended up doing two today, and as far as I'm concerned both of them went great. I am feeling particularly wobbly lately. It's all in your mind, it really is. Sometimes I walk along the street and feel like I've ingested bubbles of laughing gas and I'm suddenly giddy, and others… I don't feel sad per se but blank, or overwhelmed with emotion. One of yesterday's interpreting drills was of this TED talk about finding your passion. 80% of people are doing jobs they hate, and maybe the push they need is surrounding themselves with passionate and inspiring people - what a difference that makes!
