Happy Easter to you too - mine (Eastern Orthodox) is next Sunday, but I have to celebrate with my French family too, isn't it? *grabs the chocolate egg*
OK, so I'm ready to set up an Easter-themed avatar for myself, and I'm thinking "Hmmmm...the cartoon with the half-eaten chocolate bunnies would be cute...", and then I open your blog and go "Ackkkk!!!" ;-)
I'm so happy to hear that everything went well with your father, and that everyone pitched in to make today such a great holiday for you and your family.
Oh, LOL! I'm sorry I scooped you. I guess we were both thinking in the same direction. The picture just cracks me up.
Thank you. Thanks to everybody's help, we were all able to enjoy a very nice, low-key Easter, and it was a welcome break in a week filled with craziness. I know we'll be back to the craziness tomorrow, but it was lovely to have a break.
And yes, the blueberry coffeecake was outrageously good. It was actually lemon blueberry, with streusel on top, and since we were good and took small portions, there was enough left to enjoy tomorrow. :-)

LEMON blueberry coffeecake!!! I absolutely LOVE anything lemon-blueberry, and this afternoon, suffering from bronchitis as I have been for days, I was actually craving lemon blueberry coffeecake, and decided I'd prefer streusel topping over frosting/glaze! LOL
Alas, I am too sick to go shopping, and no one delivers coffeecake around here ...
Thank you, and the same to you! I hope you had a good Easter. Or chocolate-eating day. Or whatever makes you happy.
And it was delicious. Delicious food was very welcome, as the incredible time crunch means that none of us have been eating much (or very well) lately. It was nice to have a relatively relaxing day of deliciousness. Younger Brother has a good touch with the lamb chops.
