Happy Easter (and other good thoughts)

Apr 12, 2009 09:22

To those of you celebrating or observing the day, may you have a Happy Easter. To those of you who recently finished observing, I hope that your Pesach celebrations were wonderful and fulfilling. To those of you who celebrate in your own way, may the day be filled with peace and insight for you. And for those of you for whom it is simply another Sunday (or Monday), may you enjoy the day.

And to all of you: may you eat chocolate without shame until your pants pop and your bras burst. Life is much too short (and frequently painful) not to take a day every now and then just to enjoy chomping the ears off of chocolate bunnies, don't you think? :D

As for me, we're having Easter with the help of friends. I don't know how we'd have managed it otherwise, but my Aunt Joan brought over fresh bread and blueberry coffeecake and a cassata cake from the Italian bakery, my Cousin M brought over ham, my brother agreed to grill the lamb chops, I dyed the eggs yesterday and will make the side dishes (roasted fingerling potatoes and baby french green beans with almonds) today. One of my father's friends, a florist, sent over a lovely floral arrangement for the table, too, so... poof! Instant Easter!

Egg picspam later, if I can remember to do it. In any case, Happy Eaters! Um, Easter. ;-)
