monday (today): first day back from vacation. 6 teachers out. (of, like, 35.)

tuesday: parent night (and i haven't updated grades!); shindig at my place *starting* at 9 pm. *very* late for me.

wednesday: science exhibitions (no class, no planning); union meeting to vote on strike.

thursday: possible strike; leaving for lakeshore

resolution updates

• photos: i took 13 in january. :(
• walking: 84.9 miles so far. i'm about 14 miles behind the pace i set for myself. shouldn't be *too* hard to catch up...
• books: i didn't finish chimera. i did read snow for book club and chronicle of a death foretold for fun, which puts me at 2 for the year -- just a tad behind pace ( Read more... )

1. take more photos. specifically, i should take at least 30 photos every month. and that's not an average.

21. in the lake of the woods, by tim o'brien. well-written; not as depressing as it seemed like it would be, at least at the end. i didn't like any of the characters (a common complaint i have about books, but these ones, i actively disliked them all!). nonetheless, i thought it was a pretty good portrait.
