Who: Sniper, Scout and a bunch of children. What: Camping Trip! When: April 8th - 10th Where: Mayfield Park. Warnings: Someone may put an eye out. Also any new kids can wander into the park and join.
[Kay, never really having done this before, just kind of gives it a test run. She lines up the shot as best as she can, and fires at the target. There is the noise of the pellet whizzing just past the left side of the target.]
"Hmmm... guess I'll need to practice some here, too..."
[And here Raz thought yesterday was the best day ever. Today he gets a gun! A REAL one!... or at least more real than the ones he's had before. He all but bounces over to stand at a line.]
[Horohoro's a bit more hesitant this time - he has never tried shooting a gun, and hnnnng it reminds him of poachers which is not cool. But Sniper has left a good impression on him thus far and it's only BBs, so after watching the others for a while, he goes ahead and tries to copy what he's seeing and what he remembers was said]
[He watches Horohoro take to it on his own, deciding to see what the boy could do. He was impressed so far with the kid. As far as the guns were concerned, they'd only sting alot if you got hit. Maybe put out an eye if you were very unlucky (or lucky depending on your view). Waiting to see if he had the gun set up right before saying.]
Now remember these things aren't perfect, you're first shot is going to miss. Try adjusting your aim to compensate for your second shot.

First thing is loading and preparing, a very important part.
[Showing her how to load the BB's into the gun and get it ready to fire. He was proud of her being so patient.]
Ever fire a BB gun before?

[She's drinking this up and trying hard. She's never had a reason to try before, and discovering that trying isn't actually all that difficult.]
I don't...see really well though...d'you think I'll be good at this?

Glasses can help if your vision is bad, so can a good scope. Are you just near sighted or do you have some other issues?

[Kay looks the guns over, choosing one and practicing with lining up the sights and such.]

[He'd show her how to make sure it was loaded and ready to fire, seeing her already lining up the sights.]
Good, now do one test fire and lets see how inaccurate the gun is.

Nothing ever comes easy and I never hit anything my first few times.
Now adjust a bit to the right. Again just before firing let out a slow breath.

Okay now, first we go over the boring but necessary part. How to load and ready the gun to fire.
[He'll show the kid how to do it and set it up, letting him try and making sure he knew how before motioning for him to line up again.]

Okay, I do it like this, right?
[He lines up the shot, concentraaates... but this time he just barely hits the target.] Maaan.

That's right.
[Watches the shot miss and smiles none the less.]
Most of that could be blamed on this gun. Okay now just adjust for that miss, and you'll narrow down how to get this gun to work for you.
