Camping Trip With Sniper and Scout - Saturday

Who: Sniper, Scout and a bunch of children.
What: Camping Trip!
When: April 8th - 10th
Where: Mayfield Park.
Warnings: Someone may put an eye out. Also any new kids can wander into the park and join.

"Wow, guns today? This is getting pretty elaborate..."

[Kay looks the guns over, choosing one and practicing with lining up the sights and such.]

Just BB guns, but I figured you kids needed some toys that weren't too dangerous but would be fun as well.

[He'd show her how to make sure it was loaded and ready to fire, seeing her already lining up the sights.]

Good, now do one test fire and lets see how inaccurate the gun is.

[Kay, never really having done this before, just kind of gives it a test run. She lines up the shot as best as she can, and fires at the target. There is the noise of the pellet whizzing just past the left side of the target.]

"Hmmm... guess I'll need to practice some here, too..."

[He smiles and nods.]

Nothing ever comes easy and I never hit anything my first few times.

Now adjust a bit to the right. Again just before firing let out a slow breath.

"Okay."

[Kay nods, lining up the shot again. She closes her eyes to focus, taking a deep breath. Opening them again, she makes sure she's on target, and purses her lips to breathe out slowly as she pulls the trigger. This time, the shot hits the very left edge of the target.]

"I hit it!"

Good job. Now see where you hit? Adjust from there. Keep doing that until you get a good idea of where the pellets will go.

"Oh, by the way, I'm gonna have to leave early tonight too. I'm meeting some new friends for dinner later."

[She looks pretty apologetic, especially since she did the same thing yesterday.]

Awesome! Not sure what I'll really do with one, but hey, it never hurts to be armed, I guess.
