Barring some rewrites, this proposal is damn close to goal. Of course, since I have until September, I’ll be revising my page count to reflect the extra time, because more words = bigger advance. But still, being this close is nice.

Halfway on the proposal, and the beginning already needs work, but once the story kicks in, it gets hilarious, dark and intense in short order. I just have to kick the story a bit harder.

A quick check out the window reveals that I have landed in San Francisco, one of my very favorite US cities. Technically I’m here to attend RWA but I have two free days (well, one now, after I spend the majority of my afternoon sitting at the Au Bon Pain in Dallas-Fort Worth.)
