I have sent my final work email before leaving on vacation.

Now, I just need to finish everything else that needs to be done before leaving town. :)

Today was the last day of my short vacation. I had intended to go down to Wrigley Field to see the Cubs / Cardinals game tonight, but my intestine informed me that I had other plans. We pulled in a bit after 6 PM from four days and three nights at the Great Wolf Lodge up in the Wisconsin Dells. Katie and Julie had a wonderful time chasing around the water park with me, daisy_knotwise, Uncle jeff_duntemann, and Aunt Carol.

We are all now officially tired.

Because that's what vacation is for. :)

Julie is in love with the wave pool. Katie is in love with the water slides. The adults are all really, really tired.

I am in the process of checking in the last bug fix that needs to go in before vacation. Anything that is left in my bug box can wait until I get back. :)

Update: And the work computer is now turned off...

I am going on vacation on Monday for a week.

Any work-related crises that are not taken care of by the end of Friday are going to get to be someone else's work-related crises if they have to be dealt with next week. If no one does, I'm going to assume that they weren't really crises. :)

We had a great time visiting bedlamhouse and ladyat's new place down in Danville, Indiana. In the evening, min0taur, Sally, tollers, and Jen joined us for dinner and a bit (not nearly enough :) ) music. We pulled into Danville, Indiana to visit bedlamhouse and ladyat around 5:30 PM, somewhat later than we'd expected, but I'd neglected to take the time change into account. Also, we'd gotten started late, lunch took longer than expected... Ok, you know the litany ( Read more... )

Texas is big. Really big. It took us about five hours to get out of Texas today, despite taking the short cut north through Wichita Falls. We spent 14 hours on the road today, traveling 808 miles according to Mapquest.

Tomorrow's trip to Danville, Indiana to visit bedlamhouse and ladyat should be much easier.
