I loved the Andrew stuff, too. Coming into his own. Exactly. But there's so much HATE on TWoP over that issue I ended up writing a massive response. Which I will cross-post to LJ because it's that big. Heh.
I'm glad Cordy got such a nice send-off, and through her, Doyle. It was a wonderful way to wrap up 4+ seasons of storylines without seeming like a mechanical exercise and without diminishing their impact. And Eve better be frickin GONE I tell you. GONE!! :-)
HA! Oh yeah. That hug between them. And they spent the night together at that monestary. And bonded over onion blossoms. Hee! I'll have to look for some Spike/Andrew flair for you. Or just make some!
Ohhh, I so agree with your opinions! SUCH good tv, these episodes were. I loved the tie-in with the Potential-Slayer storyline, and loved Andrew. It was hilarious that Amita from Numbers was River Tam the Slayer - I would have thought her a good actress if I'd seen her only in this episode, but she's quite mediocre on Numbers.
And oh man, "You're Welcome" was painful and beautiful and excellent. I knew Cordy would die at some point (since she isn't on any of the cover art or in the credits), but I still wasn't expecting this, exactly. Especially the reveal that she had never actually woken up! And all this after the sadness of seeing that Doyle clip again. *sniff* As I said in my post about it, that last scene was some extraordinary acting by DB.
Do you remember Monica Reyes on the last seasons of XF? Not only does Navi Rawat look a little like her, but she acts just as "well" as her on Numbers. Heh.
Yeah, I agree - that would be very interesting. I definitely need to rewatch the show someday... someday when I own any of it.

As to Andrew, considering the other evidence I wonder if he and Spike ever...

I sort of wish this show was in syndication. I think it would be fun to see early episodes now, knowing what's coming for each of the characters.
