“Bushwacked” is not an episode I rewatch. In fact, I think I’ve only seen it twice before. It’s fucking scary and gross and it freaks me out. Watching it again I discovered something interesting: it’s extremely good. ( Reavers ain't men. Or they forgot how to be. )

I’m a little afraid to admit it, but I’m gonna have to side with the Fox executives on this one: “The Train Job” makes a better first episode. As much as I love “Serenity”, I kept feeling like it was a bit ponderous and preachy. I felt none of that with “The Train Job”. I’ve been wanting to do a complete rewatch of Firefly for a while now. Sure, I’ve watched random episodes here and there, but I’ve only watched it straight through twice: once when it aired and once when I bought the DVDs. I rewatched the first episode, “Serenity”, the other night and was both impressed and underwhelmed. ( You're gonna come with us. )
