The waterbending master stood and watched. Pakku was one of his best students, though the boy favored ice rather than free-flowing water. He wasn't entirely sure what that said about the boy.
He should not have been the one to teach the boy. But he had been one of the few powerful waterbending masters not struck dead in the Fire Nation's raids some years back. It was almost six years now since the last raid, and he, the man who had chosen to stay in the North instead of sailing the ocean, had to train a boy whose potential dwarfed Sirmik's in every conceivable way.
Pakku favored ice, and Sirmik could not think of a way to teach him the dangers of thinking like ice.

She can seem affable and reasonable, but it's sort of a creepy, Jonathan-Teatime flavor of affable, because if she were human she'd have been diagnosed as a sociopath years ago. She believes firmly that you deserve only what you're strong enough to take and keep). Prompt is '...so, our great leader got slagged by a squishy. Pathetic.'

Hydra turned slowly to look at the Seeker. Not out of any particular emotion, but because he was in an awkward position working on their damaged starship and turning without whacking one of his myriad cranebooms against anything important was difficult.
"That what happened?" He drawled.
"Yes." Hellfire peered at him, her faceplates twisting in a grimace. "Did you not listen when Ferak relayed Starscream's report?"
"I was kinda busy." His optics whirled, plates sliding close to shield the edges. "Since when do you listen to Starscream?"
"Since he's what we're stuck with," She growled. "Since Megatron showed up only to die again to something so weak and pathetic ( ... )

Long Feng took a few minutes to stand barefoot on the stone floor, pulling in strength from the earth. Six years without wearing the subtly armored robes was a long time. He needed to adjust to the weight again.
When the metal weave inside the cloth felt comfortable, he put on his hat and went to meet Hyo.

"Interesting," X purred, his green optics lighting up. "I had no idea humans were so resilient."
Nice to know his scan of the human girl was good enough to fool other Transformers. On the other hand, he had no idea what the hell another Transformer was doing here. As far as he knew, he was the only Transformer still on Earth, and he sure as hell was the only one who went along on MIT's time-travel expedition into the far-distant past.
Of course, that still didn't change the fact that X was here, and the actual humans on the expedition weren't nearly so hardy as he was. Glitch slid into a fighting stance. "You want some more of this? Come and get it."
