Turtleduck jammiesbeckyh2112February 14 2010, 22:19:43 UTC
Mai wears an embroidered black silk tunic and pants to bed. Gold frogs hold her tunic closed, and the black silk clings to her legs. There are hints of weapons-sheathes underneath the silk, and Zuko wonders how she can sleep with them on.
He doesn't ask, though, because Mai wouldn't answer. He just traces his fingers over the embroidered designs of crested turtleducks, listening to the soft change of her breathing as he presses silk over her breasts. The embroidered turtleducks are all breeds he recognizes from the traditional red-crested ones the Fire shrines loved so much to the deep green crests of the wild males.
His fingers trace down blue ripples of embroidered water, and Mai's lips curve upward. He smiles and kisses one of the turtleducks that looks just like the breed they keep in the pond.
Zuko/Jee - Spending time together, perhaps trying to teach Zuko about musical notes? If not that, just talking about music. And if not that, make outs.
Mai/Zuko - Because Royals always have beautiful hair.
Zuko - Fatherhood
Ursa and Mai/Zuko - Wedding plans.
Zuko and Iroh/Ming - meeting the new 'aunt'.
Zuko, Aang, Sokka, Haru, Teo, and Toph - Guys' night out.
Mai/Zuko/Jet - They much prefer to have sex with Zuko, than fight over him. (Bonus points for Mai and Jet getting along because they DO, not for Zuko's sake.)

Hitozi likes girls. Hitozi really likes girls, and the Cultural Minister of Ba Sing Se is very, very Earth. Which means finding Hitozi and his daughter in a compromising position puts back diplomatic relations by several years.
So Long Feng's secretary says curtly.
Hitozi looks aghast and immediately begins to apologize, mostly to Zuko but also to the secretary and the not-at-all-present Long Feng.
Zuko smiles and reaches out to squeeze his son's shoulder. "Don't worry about it. He would have done that whether you did anything with Xiyu or not. Aang and Toph have been harassing him."
Toph and Zuko, one perfect daybeckyh2112March 2 2010, 01:12:05 UTC
"What're these?" Toph asks, stabbing her fork into the waffles like they might suddenly leap up from her plate if she doesn't pin them down.
Zuko grins. "Griddlecakes cooked special. Here." He reached for her hand and gently pressed her fingers against a porcelain jar. "This is the honey." Then he moved her hand again to a silver bowl. "This is the clotted cream." Then he dipped her hand into a china bowl filled to the brim with sun-ripened strawberries. "And these are the strawberries. You dress your griddlecakes however you want with them."
Toph grins and grabs a strawberry, dips it into the honey and then the cream, and eats it straight.
Zuko, lazing in the sunbeckyh2112March 1 2010, 23:30:20 UTC
It is the first day in a while that hasn't been grey and raining. It stormed all of the previous night, but the sun rose bright and gold. It rose on wet gardens and muddy streets, but the people of the Fire Nation Capital could handle that sort of thing.
Zuko handles it by telling his Seneschal to spend time with her husband, throwing the pages and guards out of his apartments, and flinging open the shutters. He sprawls in the sunshine on the carpeted floor, a pillow underneath the scarred side of his face, his robes left in the wardrobe.
Mai strokes his hair indulgently with her hairbrush, and the little calico cat from Ba Sing Se flops against him and purrs.
Zuko and Iroh, relaxing with tea on a rainy daybeckyh2112February 28 2010, 03:54:17 UTC
Rain hammered down on the shutters of the apartment. It leaked through a broken slat, and where the right shutter didn't quite go all the way down the length of the window

I very much like this. Zuko's pacing and pausing with the lightning -- he's picking it up, isn't he?
And mmm, nestling on a rainy day for the WIN.
