LOL THAT WAS ME LAST WEEK. I'd gotten horribly, massively burned going out on the boat for five hours when we went to visit my brother and was just like "DON'T MAKE ME MOVE I CAN'T DO IT" all week. even when I got over the sunburn. uh. <33333 I am sorry you are sunburnt, though! I adore the Sarah Jane Adventures, they're magnificent. Sarah Jane is just perfect, always, totally flawless, and I love Maria and Clyde and Luke is adorable! where are you? I don't want to risk spoiling you for it. and where are you in Torchwood? Yeah, Torchwood's really not as good as the other two. A lot of people feel like the third season redeemed it, but I feel like parts of it were really good and the rest of it was bogged down by RTD-itis, in which he tries to make everything big and kills off people for no actual reason and the death scenes don't even make sense. which is irritating. But Toshiko is utterly brilliant, isn't she? and I'm a big fan of Ianto's as well. Gwen I like sometimes, and other times I'm just sort of eh on

I finished SJA season 1! And I loved it and I looooove her, and I love the kids. SJA is DW reboot, with Sarah Jane as the Doctor and Maria as her companion. I think Luke is the TARDIS and Clyde is Jack and Mickey rolled into one.

I saw Torchwood S1 and S2. I enjoyed them? The least of the three shows though. Everyone in it is so awful most of the time (and like I get why--Torchwood is SUCH AN AWFUL PLACE and there is ONLY TRAUMA--but still), and THEN THEY KILLED TOSH WTF. Also YES YES YES GREEKS BEARING GIFTS OMFG PHILOCTETES. I do love that like everyone is queer and that is not even a thing.

I love Gwen and Ianto! I prefer DW Jack. Owen is such a jerk though.

And oh boy, writing. Writing writing writing. I have so much writing to do it isn't even funny (just absolutely glorious). Cause I'm working on my novel this summer (take on Rapunzel) and I still have to finish up my two help_japan fics (which are so much fun but taking longer than I'd expected) and then there's just all the other ideas teaming at the back of my mind like usual, especially Alternate. I've got Cabin Fever and Harborverse simmering in the background while I work on bits and pieces of, uh, EVERYTHING ELSE. Particularly Allayi, my superhero 'verse (in which Unmasked and Vixen are set), and Monster Squad (which I've been working on on and off since last fall). SO MUCH STUFF, SO MUCH STUFF.

To New Zealand for a year! I'll still be around online, but I'm going to be having a real job (maybe two) and I'll definitely be a bit scarcer.

And yeah. You know how in the original, after that battle in the tower, the prince ends up blind and half-way across the world (or something) and Rapunzel goes around for a year and a day before finding him in some desert and then her tears heal his eyes? Or something like that anyway. My story is that part of the tale (prologue being the fight with Gothel). And I've even begun shipping my own characters and stuff, and it's just adorable to plan out. I'm gonna start actually writing it any day now, as soon as the outline's complete.

NEW ZEALAND. Sooooo beautiful there. My parents lived there for a couple years after they got married, so when I was in gr 4 my family took a trip down for a month and it is GORGEOUS. I predict beautiful times for you!
