Vacation was nice. We went to Florida this weekend. I tell you what though, its not worth it to take a four day weekend with my job. So, I've yet to read this guy's book Everything Bad is Good for You but it is on my list. However, he did write an excellent article about video games, violence, and all the other stuff involving video games that people are upset about right now.

If someone had told me once, "You'd enjoy a good mathematical read. Here's a book by a mathematician. Read it, its exciting!" I would have punched them in the face. However, I read Zero: The Biography of a Dangerous Idea by Charles Seife and really liked it. After 37.5 hours of recorded game play spread over 3 months of time, I've finally finished Xenosaga 2. I'd have to describe it as epic. Frankly, I hope they make it into a book or something.
