Getting stuff done
Actually managed to get a few things done last night. M had a show in Kansas so wasn't home.
Baked banana bread - I will be SO glad when I have a full sized oven again.
Patched 2 pair of jeans - not my best work, but passable. The sewing machine thread kept jamming.
Started reading the new Jacqueline Carey book. - almost 200 pages in already.

Long time no see
Haven't posted to here in a very long time. Perhaps it's time I start journaling again. Currently I'm sitting in class posting this from my phone, so this will be it for now.

Dragon Con....
So, I'm attending Dragon con again this year, and working for Flynn's Folly for the Brobdingnagian Bard Reunion Show. I expect I will be working table most of the weekend. Candy Experiments
This afternoon I decided to try my hand at candy and chocolate making. The first batch was something called honeycomb candy, and before I tried it I read the reviews online. Most folks said that it was fairly easy, still tasted good even if you didn't cook it quite right, but only one of them had ever successfully gotten it to turn out absolutely ( Read more... ) -

Well..this is the first head cold of the season. (I'm optimistically assuming it's not the dreaded swine flu..) I don't seem to have much fever so I'm fairly certain it's not the flue. I just really wish my head was less stuffy *sigh* -
Gah! Massive fail.
I went in to town to the mall today. The weather was a beautiful 75 degrees and sunny out, so I decided to take the Miata....I figured the roads would be clear. Coming down our little dirt road I noticed that there was one particular spot that did seem to still have some snow and ice, but it appeared to be melting handily (what with the 75 degrees ( Read more... ) -
Bread making
Making bread again today, but I'm trying out a new recipe. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it actually rises the way it's supposed to. Guess I'll find out soon. -
