I went in to town to the mall today. The weather was a beautiful 75 degrees and sunny out, so I decided to take the Miata....I figured the roads would be clear. Coming down our little dirt road I noticed that there was one particular spot that did seem to still have some snow and ice, but it appeared to be melting handily (what with the 75 degrees) so I wasn't too worried.
Just tried to come home..note the -tried- turns out, I couldn't make it past that one little 25 yard stretch of slush. I got about halfway up, and had absolutely NO traction. I slid backwards into someones driveway, and couldn't even get out of that. After trying to get out for a few minutes, the neighbor came out to help. He managed to get me going, and I headed -down- the hill to try and get some speed to make it past...made it a tiny bit further, but still not enough traction to get out of the woods, so backed it up into the driveway of said neighbor again. He kindly gave me a ride up the hill, and I'm hoping Matt will have some idea on how to solve the problem. Tomorrow may be the day to take it in for snow- tires...should have done it last week. *sigh*
On a happier note...I did get the new Sting album....which is still in my car *sigh*
