[In Person]

[As for a certain detective? Well, last night was the first quiet night in a while for a lot of people, and the Detective Duo were no exception; between injuries and exhaustion, they've crashed hard.]

[This morning, on the couch in the main hall? Saguru and Heiji are both passed out; Saguru sprawled on the couch and Heiji draped over him and the ( Read more... )

[You know what? He's TRYING to do that. Sadly he's gotten JUUST enough sleep for some part of his brain to register that something is Deeply Wrong With This Picture. He's trying to shut it up because he's comfortable, damnit. Give him a minute.]

[Hakuba is comfy and warm. He'd like the little analytical part of his mind to shut up. Particularly since there's not many people he'd actually, currently, have any interest in going certain directions, and not very many that he'd be comfortable with doing the "pass out on" at the moment, and the person that's currently flopped out on him and cuddled up RATHER closely is the wrong gender for one of them, wrong build for the other that's currently in the manor, and while probably closer to a certain other one... that certain other one also hasn't been in the Manor for a good month or two now.]

[He cracks one eyelid open briefly. And now has the most spectacular grimace.]

[Curse you brain. Why can't you let him sleep in peace. As much as he'd have no problem with hitting on Heiji to troll him, this really wasn't his idea of how to go about it, even if he is pretty sure it's mostly a case of both of them collapsing from exhaustion. Damnit.]

[Well, this wasn't something Burter was expecting to see at all. He's not sure whether he should leave them be or wake them up, as they seem to be in a rather embarrassing position for such a public location.]

Uhm...

[In the end, he doesn't know what to say or really if he wants to go about disturbing them, so he just stares for the moment.]

Always room for embarassment in front of strangers! :D im_in_ur_exit October 22 2011, 05:45:44 UTC
[Hakuba, meanwhile, is still ... well ... sleeping like the dead. He's normally a lighter sleeper than this, but two and a half weeks running on "High" have taken their toll; give him a few tags and Heiji moving before it dawns on him that maybe there's a reason to be conscious.]

[Stare.]

H-hello.

[He waves slightly.]

[Adorable, really. He'd comment to that effect, but schadenfreude (or at least open schadenfreude) never ends well in the Manor. He debates taking a photo, but he'd rather not deal with backlash considering his own wardrobe has been replaced with an assortment of clamshell bras, shimmering fish tails and leotards with butterfly wings sewn on the back. The dress had been bad enough. He checks the time on his watch, debating whether or not it's appropriate to wake them up. Borrowing some normal clothes would be nice, and really? He's doing them a favor; they're a sight to behold like this.]

[Plopping down on the arm of the couch, sort of a safe distance away from Saguru's other arm.]

Rough week?

[There may be some slight amusement in that tone.]

[That bleary half-awake "something ain't right" state? ...Light pretty much kicked that into "WELL HI THERE" mode, enough for the very fast and jarring inventory that they'd both passed out and Light was now ... well, at least someone was entertained.]

[So of course, he's going to look over blearily and ... just ... hit the long-suffering deadpan. At least Saguru is well used to humor being taken at his dignity's expense.]

Two and a half weeks, actually.

[Saguru's response makes him raise an eyebrow. Truthfully, it does considerably more than that, but that's all Light's willing to do visibly. Internally, there's a good deal of cursing the Author to oblivion. He gets off the couch to give the pair more room to untangle themselves now that they're awake. Alternatively, they could stay that way too. Light doesn't care.]

The Author being her usual charmless self? It's nice to know that nothing changes here.

[There's a small laugh-- why yes, Light is still playing nonchalant, but the bitterness isn't particularly well hidden.]

Good morning by the way, Hakuba. And if I'm not mistaken, Hattori, correct?

[ Well --- she guessed this answered the question what the detective was doing all week. He'd been on a date with his boyfriend getting himself in trouble. Like the time during that fears week.

When Heiji moved --- and now it looked almost like the were cuddling. And because Chidori is an average teenage girl --- she actually enjoyed boys' love, she found this amusing. ]

Hehhhh~ Chidori didn't know you swing that way, Heiji.

Hnmm... his friend is kind of cute too.

[ Suddenly, she grins and races up to her room and returned with a camera in her hands. Because Chidori is evil --- she begins taking pictures of the two boys in the most awkward and suggestive angles and positions possible. ]

[Hakuba, meanwhile, is just as bleary and all, but a couple years now of chasing Kid and getting repeatedly humiliated have given him a sort of reflexive recognition of the sound of a camera shutter as "WHUPS TIME TO WAKE UP".]

[And that IS worth a moment of blinking muzzily a couple times, and then trying to sit up in spite of the Osakan with a small strangled noise.]

GAH! It's not what it looks like-

[ Just when Chidori was about to get a shot of them that looked like a romantic embrace --- Heiji's friend woke up. The shot came out blurry and she screamed, completely ignoring Hakuba. All she was thinking of was how much she could get for a photo like that --- maybe.

It was a few moments before she finally remembered Hakuba. And when she did, she gave him a sweet and innocent smile. ]

Good morning!

Ah ... don't let me disturb you. Go on!

[ She's just a cute and innocent kid ... with a camera. No secret agendas here. ]
