When I was playing with my mouth recently, I discovered a new sound I can make. It's a trill, the same kind of thing as the Spanish "rolled R". That sound is called the alveolar trill. how come we itch? scratching never helps, so you'd think it would be a really stupid reaction for our bodies to have evolved. in fact scratching just makes it all worse, deepens the wound etc. that should have made our itchy ancestors all infected and that would have made them die before they could reproduce ( Read more... )
