I start my new job tomorrow and I am rather nervous. I'll be more nervous come Wednesday though as that's when the kids return to school and I start teaching them! Well.....my last day of work went well. We went out for lunch and some 22 or so people came along which was nice :) In the afternoon there was a presentation for me and I was given a lovelt black leather compendium/briefcase and a $100 Myer voucher. It can also be used in Officeworks so I may use it there to get some school supplies before I start ( Read more... )

Today is my 2nd last day in this job. I'm feeling kinda sad about it. I like it here in a lot of ways. This was only ever a temporary job for me though, to tide me over through my separation and then my studies. When this door closes, a new one opens and my new profession as a school teacher begins. Yesterday afternoon my sister had her baby. Another little girl! Her name is Amelia. Odd that she chose that name as it was a name I was considering if I ever had another girl.... Well....you know that job interview I said I went for yesterday??? Today they called and offered me a position!! Of course I accepted.
