My luck must be beginning to change.....!
Well....you know that job interview I said I went for yesterday??? Today they called and offered me a position!! Of course I accepted. There are actually two positions and I won't find out which one they will be allocating to me until Friday. One is a full-time permenent position teaching HSIE, English, Science & PDHPE to years 5 & 6. The other is a 12 months p/t maternity leave placement teaching year 2. They had asked me which one I would prefer and I told them in honesty that I could and would do either. If I get the latter, then hopefully I could stay on 2 days a week at Salmat instead of 3 per week like I am doing now.
This all seems far too good to be true that it's making me really start to wonder where the catch is.... I mean...that was my first interview and I got the job? Some new grad teachers have to wait years before getting a permenent job.
I feel very very VERY lucky right now :) Cautious and happy...but nonetheless very lucky :)
