First interview today.....
Today I had my first interview for a teaching position. I felt it went really well. I was in there for at least an hour talking to their principal, deputy principal and Reverend. I left feeling very positive and they said they will be checking my references. I wouldn't think they would be doing that if I wasn't in with a good chance...
The school is an independant Assyrian school. The men that I met with were all wonderful and the school had a good vibe about it. Fingers crossed!! If I am lucky enough to get the job...I'd have to be the luckiest new-grad teacher in the world to get a job after my first interview...lol.
In more mudane and not-so-nice news...yesterday I took my car in for a service and to get the central locking repaired. It cost me $800!! And if I want the central locking fixed it's going to be another $495!! Bloody hell. I am now sooooo poor that it isn't funny. Seriossly. That's something noone wants...especially at this time of year.... I'm screwed right now....badly....:(
Oh...as well as being poor and desperately needing more income....I got my first call this morning for a casual teaching job for today. At the school 2 mins from me too that I reaaaaally want to teach at. As luck would inevitably have it though....I had to turn it down because of the interview I already had booked. Grrrr.... I hope they call me next week....
