So it turns out that my Macbook is under warranty. Excuse me while I do the happy dance for a moment. I dropped it in yesterday and they called me today. I was right and it was a hard drive death. I should hopefully have it back by the end of the week.

For some reason my Macbook froze up and then on reboot only had a folder with a flashing question mark. Turns out that it's lost it's startup disk. Normally, this is easily remedied with a boot from an OS X install dvd. Unfortunately, mine is in Broome ( Read more... )
