What did you do in 2008 that you have never done before?
Skim across a pond on my snowboard.

Did you keep all of last years resolutions?
I don't do New Years resolutions.

Have you any resolutions for next year?
See above.

What countries did you visit?
Canada, the states, Taiwan and various parts of Australia.

What would you like to have in 2009 that you didn't have in 2008?
Zero debt.

What date in 2008 will remain etched in your memory?
Probably Matt and Vanessa's wedding...

What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Uhhh... finishing off a 80+ day snow season.

What was your biggest failure?
Only managing 80+ days when I could of ridden over a 100 days.

Did you suffer any illness or injury?
A couple of colds, a banged up ankle from my last day snowboarding, and of course, hang overs.

What was the best thing you bought?
Difficult to say... iPod, Sennheiser headphones, sunglasses, and my bodyboard are all contenders.

Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
Yours. Yes, that's right, you. You know who you are.

Where did most of your money go?
Plane tickets.

What did you get really really really excited about?
Seeing Cassie the couple of times we visited each other and snow.

What do you wish you'd done less of?
Work and drink.

Which LJ/Online users did you meet for the first time?
None. Friends IRL first, then online.

Did you fall in love in 2008?
Difficult to say.

How many one night stands?
None.

What was your favourite TV show?
Canucks hockey and True Blood.

Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
Hate takes too much energy.

What was/were the best books you read?
No Logo (only 5-6 years too late). Can't remember the others ATM.

What was your greatest musical discovery?
Older punk, but after the original UK stuff. Old NOFX, Anti-flag and the like.

What did you want and get?
Heaps.

What did you want and not get?
Not a lot.

What was your favourite film this year?
Probably Dark Knight. Can't remember much else. Wait, Iron man rocked as well.

What did you do on your birthday and how old were you?
Got drunker than Jesus. Turned 31 in Whistler.

What one thing would have made your year more satisfying?
More snow days.

How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2008?
Whatever I was traveling with.

What kept you sane?
Music.

Which celebrity did you fancy the most?
No idea.

Which political issue stirred you the most?
The proposed "Great Firewall of Australia".

Cassie.

Having a bottle opener on your belt is quite handy.

2.) What was your status by Valentine's Day?
I was seeing Cassie... we've never actually discussed it. I did get her something.

3.) Were you in school (anytime this year)?
I walked through a school with on my way to a mates place.

4.) How did you earn your keep?
Slaving away in kitchens and behind bars.

5.) Did you have to go to the hospital?
Like I could afford it.

6.) Have you encountered the police?
I saw them on various occasions.

7.) Where did you go on vacation?
My life is a vacation.

8.) What did you purchase that was over $500?
Plane tickets.

9.) Did you know anybody who got married?
Sure did.

10.) Did you know anybody who passed away?
Don't think so.

11.) Have you run into anybody you graduated high school with?
No, thankfully.

12.) Did you move anywhere?
All over the world. Canada to Broome. Broome to a boat of the WA coast. Boat to Sydney. There were also a few trips to QLD in there.

13.) What sporting events did you go to?
Nothing live but I watched a shitload of hockey.

14.) What concerts did you go to?
GOB is the only one I remember. Hilltop Hoods is Whistler may of been in 2008 as well.

I think I've been removed from the electoral roll.

N/A

17.) Where do you live now?
Ashfield, Sydney. At least until the end of April.

Good times. Beer. Lots of beer.

19.) What's the one thing you thought you would never do but did in 2008?
Drink light beer.

20.) What is one thing you regretted this year?
Being in debt.

21.) What's something you learned about yourself?
I have trouble doing a straight back flip. I always want to put a twist in it.

22.) Any new additions to your family?
No, thankfully!

23.) What was your best month?
Probably May. After a season of epic powder it was loads of fun to go snowboarding in t-shirts and throw it around in the slush, following the day with a beer on a pub patio.

24.) What from pop culture will you remember 2008 by?
No idea. I wasn't really exposed to much pop culture living in the bubble of Whistler, being a hermit in Broome, and working on a boat.

25.) How would you rate this year with a scale from 1 (shitty) to 10 (excellent)?
Let's say 8.5.
