Monday I went in for my procedure, clean as a whistle inside and out ( a kinder, gentler cleanse than last time; I appreciated that).  I amused the doctor by having "twisty, turny guts".  In other words, I made him earn the money my insurance company will be sending him.  Got in *early*, and was therefore done early, so instead of getting lunch, cos_x  ( Read more... )

I ran an errand last night, and parked in my back yard so that I was off the street for the damn race they had planned for Saturday morning.  This took some maneuvering, because I don't usually open my back fence; it's a PITA.

What I didn't know, however, was that the contractor had tossed a long board out back.  A long board full of nails.

1.  I can't believe I spent so much at Walgreen's without picking up a prescription.  Good grief.

Came home to find the wall closing off the staircase from the 2nd to the 3rd floors is now gone!  Hooray!  Once I get some spindles the same thing can happen from the 1st to 2nd floors.  That will open the space up nicely, and get rid of some of the boxiness and claustrophobia ( Read more... )

1.  Mouth healing quickly after dropping Fosamax.  Doctor asked for new bone density scan; showed no improvement from last time.  Wants to repeat in one year, not two.  Also wants me to take the RDA of calcium in supplements, on top of any calcium I get through food, not just get the RDA from the combination of the two.  Now need to find a strong ( Read more... )

Until you mow over your extension cord for your electric mower.

And, oh, look - the sun's down now.  Guess I'm at a stopping point.

Also guess I'm headed to the hardware store for a new cord.  It was extra-long, too . . .
