In contrast to the previous review, this is a novel that I absolutely loved. There were sections that I felt were a little bogged down, but overall, this book had me gripped from the first chapter.

The Last Legion.
2007, dir. Doug Lefler.This is an engaging and enjoyable film, not so much based on Roman history but more on the Matter of Britain (King Arthur legend) and as such does a pretty good job. I watched 5 hours of 'The Tudors' last night and went to bed with a head full of Tudor English history. Also, went to bed with a headache which comes from watching 5 odd hours of telly in one sitting. My thoughts, let me show you them.
