On my way to personalization
I made a seat cover for the Vespa. I really like it and everyone who came by this weekend said it looks great. I am a little disappointed with the cording in the back because it doesn't look as smooth as I would like it but other than that it is great. Today I bought a 1980 Vespa 100 Sport :) I'm super excited for a warm day or two so my husband can teach me how to drive the thing. Intranet at work
My employer is getting ready to redesign their intranet. I could care less because I never use it. The downside is that my supervisor, who is hell bent on getting us involved in every aspect of the department's operations, has assigned each of us to come up with an idea to submit. Vacation is fast approaching
We booked our hotel for our 'staycation' last night. We are going to stay at CoCo Key water park in Omaha and going to the zoo. I suspect most of our time will be spent in the water park, but it will be nice to be away from home. And I have wanted to go to the Henry Doorly Zoo for nearly 20 years now. Working out at work
My job offers little opportunity for advancement. Basically I could put in for a supervisor position (which I am not interested in) or I can apply to work for a different department within the city. My Twilight Saga
As an act of goodwill I am reading the Twilight Series. A friend is the new PTA president at the school my son will go to in the fall. She has invited me to Mom's Night Out on July 8th to involve dinner at On the Border and going to see the new Twilight movie.

Friday night was Relay for Life. It was fun but not a lot of fun. I might do it again next year, maybe. Four of our twelve team members found a way out of it which I thought was pretty lame.
