I am almost pathologically bothered by flying things; husband found this out today when a medium-sized bug flew into the car with me and I nearly crashed it trying to get the bug to get off of me.

Oddly enough, things what sting don't bother me nearly as much as just things that can fly in general.

I, apparently, can make onion peels (that thin papery layer on the very outside of the onion) appear wherever I am....even when I personally have not peeled an onion for weeks!

Yesterday, I went trap shooting for the first time this season (which was fun, save for the hurricane-like gusts of wind which were timed pretty much randomly). Today, I can barely move my right arm.

Is this what getting old feels like--there are suddenly consequences for your bad physical decisions?

Now that we've finally had a few days of nicer weather, I'm starting to feel less like I want to kill people and/or hide under the covers in bed & never move again.

I don't know what the problem was this year--winter happens every year. I just couldn't seem to handle it this time around.

Tonight I found gray hair #2 on my head--as well as a big zit on my forehead under my bangs.

I should be going through puberty OR middle age--not both, simultaneously.

Yesterday, on the way across the street in front of our building, DH & I helped to push 3 cars which were stuck out of the snow (a minivan, an Altima, & something else that just got stuck in the plow track). Remind me again why I live here....

I have a friend with whom we split our CSA share. She has a little boy (roughly 2.5 ys old). She went with her son to pick up the share the other day & we were supposed to stop by her house later that night & get our half of the veggies from her.
