Life as we know it

I have a friend with whom we split our CSA share. She has a little boy (roughly 2.5 ys old). She went with her son to pick up the share the other day & we were supposed to stop by her house later that night & get our half of the veggies from her. At the pick up site, all her son could talk about was "David garage" and "he not here" (that second phrase was in a very puzzled tone). Apparently, her son has decided DH owns that garage, since that's always where he can be found--every time the son goes to the garage, David has been there so it is clearly "David garage". Too bad that's not how possession really works for grown-ups....

My braces wire popped out of my back tooth last night after dinner on the lower left-hand side. I'm supposed to go in on Tuesday (first appointment of the day!) & have them give me a new wire anyway, so I was fairly reluctant to call their "help" line to try & set up an appointment to get someone to put me back together--and to pay the fee associated with "fixing" any problems, especially when they probably wouldn't be able to fix anything 'til Monday anyway. Turns out with a little determination & the help of my round-nosed jewelry pliers, I can get my own wire back in. It's not entirely flat (I had to bend it just slightly right by the back tooth to get it to pop back in), but it's good enough to sit there for the approximately 60 hours 'til my regularly scheduled appointment. Once again, I feel pity for any medical professional who has to deal with me....ever.

Today I ref a hockey game, then have practice for my women's team & a game with the co-ed team after dinner. Does that make up for not doing much in the way of a "workout" this week?

I also have a great idea(s) for my next craft project(s)....we'll see how that goes, when the time comes to it.
