So there I am at work, in what I hope are the last stages of a cold, running on generic DayQuil, GatorAde, and Fisherman's Friend menthol lozenges, blowing my nose whenever the store's empty, and hoping that bottle of hand sanitizer is keeping me from playing Patient Zero

The funny part was, I realized exactly what they meant: my voice sounded smooth and mellow, like someone had oiled my vocal cords. It just FELT like I was on the verge of coughing; I didn't sound like Doctor Girlfriend or anything.

(Don't think too hard about the nature of said "oil" --- oops, there you go.)
