I just realized I had not written anything in quite some time. Tonight we are Ferberizing with Charlotte. It sucks, but it will hopefully be worth it. It is so different being home so much with Charlotte as a newborn versus the 40-hour weeks I had when Connor was born. It is nice seeing her develop so quickly compared to what felt like a total rush and blur with Connor. Although, I'm sure becoming a new parent might have had a lot to do with that as well. ain't nobody that can buy a piece of me
So we ended up buying the Hyundai Santa Fe last month-ish and I am glad that is over with. Then gas shot up which has been lots of fun. But it has been very useful so far in instances where we need to carry large items that would not fit in the Lancer. Shopping for a SUV has proven much more difficult than it was for buying a car. Finding one in a lower price range (which is still very high, overall!), with lower miles and reliability is ridiculously hard. And the banks are being picky about which ones they'll finance.
