A rather interesting weekend with a predominantly religious theme. I've been working on a song called Ink for the last month or so and tonight I recorded the backing track for it. Usually I just record vocals and guitar in one take then do little overdubs here and there but with this song I wanted to get the best recording possible. NelsonI arrived on Saturday morning and caught a shuttle to my hostel. The weather was overcast with a slight northerly and I was worried that my weekend in the sunshine capital of New Zealand wasn't going to meet my expectations but thankfully the sun made an appearance later in the morning and it stayed lovely and warm for the rest of the day. Have finally heard back about the job and have a start date now: December 11. The reason for the late start is because my team leader is taking a month's leave and feels that I won't get the focus on training without her and that I may be subjected to start with 'indexing', which sounds rather ominous and not very fun at all ( Read more... )
