Chicago gets the U.S.' nomination for the 2016 Olympics

FREAKIN' SWEET!

I know I've only lived here for less than a year, and it's doubtful whether I'll still be here in 2016, but I just think it is very cool all the same. Yay Chicago! It really is an awesome city.

I broke up with my best friend this past weekend.

I miss sick days... at least the parts of sick days where I FINALLY start feeling better.

I think my cold has finally morphed into the flu. I can't even keep three sips of Powerade down.

This sucks.

On the upside, at least, my sore throat and stuffy nose are gone. And I was finally able to sleep last night.

Still evaluating the trade-off, though.

Yesterday I was in a basketball tournament at work, and I gave 110%. Sadly, it wasn't enough, as we lost in the championship game, but I was proud of my effort ( Read more... )

I've known for some time that whenever I get stressed out, I get sick. Exam week, tech week during high school plays, and so on. Well, it's about that time again: emotional stress + lack of sleep for about the past week = sore throat and sniffles.
