Just on the off-chance that someone who reads this will have an idea.
Somehow desktop.ini showed up on my desktop. You're not supposed to see it at all, and you're not supposed to delete it because it contains information on how to display your folders and stuff, but I can't make it disappear so my desktop will look all neat. If I go to file properties, the little check-box to make it hidden is greyed out. (I'm still allowed to make it read-only, which is pointless.) I also checked the folder properties, and it's already set to "Hide operating system files" or whatever the verbage is. Google seems to have limited information to help me, and I'm already late for work (again).
So, any ideas?
