I spoke a bit too soon when I claimed to have passed through the Voluntary Separation Package phase of our layoffs unscathed; a memo showed up yesterday in our inboxes claiming that instead of Monday, today would be the real deal; grace n good luck, y'all. pretty much most of everything done in IY- system & network setup/config/maint/upgrades, scripting and programming- whatever needs doing, he does well, which has been a detriment in his local job hunts. Local companies have wanted people insanely specialized in very specific roles, which was not the case back in CA...

Anyway thats how i know it, but when he starts hunting, I'l send you his resume. Thanks much sir

Sorry to hear that. I've now been with my company long enough (9 years) that if I got canned, it would be the shits trying to get back to where I am now. 4 weeks of vacation now, and all. At least you're off the radar for awhile.

Hopefully Richard can get a job a bit more local this time around.
