My main accomplishment thus far post layoff was leveling Jacopy (my World of Warcraft pally) up to 80- yeah, it mainly was a matter of applying (read: wasting) time, but given that he's been pottering around in his mid 70s for the better part of a year, it was time well spent, at least on a personal level. So after 20 years, 6 months, 2 weeks n some odd days, those on high at my work have decided that they've had enough of my services- I got a conference call late this morning from my boss and his boss to inform me that my (and my department's) services are no longer required.
