I don't see how anyone can complain about PRISM when they have such an honest Twitter account::looks at calendar:: Oh geez, Anime Expo is coming up fast. Good thing I've already got plane tickets. I had a good day today!
Today was a good day! First, I didn't have to get to work early, like I did the last couple days running. So I was better rested than usual. Then, the sun was shining! It was 65 degrees and I could wear short sleeves without a jacket! It's been a lousy winter, and April has been grey and rainy far more often then not, so this was quite welcome ( Read more... ) -

Bombs go off or planes crash into buildings, and we see huge outpourings of support and kindness and demands that something be done and the villains brought to justice. Blood banks across the nation fill up, and trust funds are started for the survivors. That's wonderful! Heartwarming! But millions of lives destroyed by unnecessary poverty, hunger ( Read more... ) -

Okay, so perhaps I should already know the answer to this question, but what do you do with old shoes and clothes that have holes in them? Goodwill won't take them, as I understand it, and they're not worth trying to mend. Is there a way to recycle shoes and clothes (actually recycle, not "recycle by making birdfeeders" or whatever), or am I stuck ( Read more... ) -
Boggle is amazing
So hey, obviously I haven't really been posting for a while. I've been rather depressed this winter, and even though I've gone out and done some fun things and celebrated Christmas and stuff I just haven't wanted to post pictures or write about much. Watching anything online (Hulu, show sites, wherever) always means watching the same commercial over and over again, but today I do not mind! Tide has a new commerical that Project Runway really, really wants me to see starring a parent talking about how their fairy princess daughter (a little girl wearing what is clearly a Rapunzel dress and fairy ( Read more... ) -

Caution: I'm about to sound like a bad person
I will not disagree that a shooting that left 20+ people dead is a horrible thing. I think we should have stricter gun control laws by far in this country, and that our culture of violence is not doing us any favors, and this nonsense about "now's not the time to have a conversation about gun control" is utterly stupid.
