Medal Application Posted!
I filled in my Statutory Declaration application for the Australian Defence Medal and went looking for someone to witness me signing it. Looked around for a good hour before someone told me that my boss could sign it as a Member of the CPA or something (I checked the site and the credentials were correct), so now it's on it's way to Canberra and ( Read more... ) -
Redundancy?
Had a meeting with the Financial adviser today from my super fund to go over everything should i get my redundancy. I wasn't aware that my redundancy payment (45 weeks pay) is TAX FREE!!! I have to pay tax on any long service leave and also annual leave, but the redundancy itself it tax free! yayyyyy ( Read more... ) -
It seems that i'm entitled to a medal
oh goodie, lucky me! I've always had the chest to pin it on, now i get to have the medal as well.
I did 8 years in the RAAF. That's 2 years too short for the Long Service Medal and 7 years too short for the Good Conduct Medal, not that i was ever good lol.

It was so good to get home at a reasonable time
Left work at 4.45, home at 6pm. So much better than last night's fiasco.
But, i have a house full of cleaning to do, which I had planned to do last night, but was too exhausted and upset to do, and now tonight, i'm so laid back i can't be bothered..
perhaps just another 5 minutes? -
