I had the damnedest time trying to read The Unknown Ajax last week. It just wouldn't hold my interest. I think I may have overdosed on Heyer's style to the point of taking it for granted. I glossed and skimmed rather than lost myself in every single sentence.

Second day straight of editing in court totally exhausted me to the point of zonking out as soon as I got home. Ergo I was up at about three this morning and decided at about five thirty to apply the edits to the master document.

Worked a rather long day, quite unrelieved by the discovery that Inkheart, while having all the elements that should delight and thrill me, is boring as fuck and argh, no wonder I couldn't remember details from the first time around. Still, I may struggle through the last third tomorrow.

Hmmm. Bath Tangle wasn't quite as satisfying as I'd hoped.
