hakuna matata and the circle of life

Wow, it's amazing what a writer will do to avoid writing. Like Johnny Depp in Secret Window. The only good thing about that bloody awful film was that chillingly accurate depiction of avoidance. Especially with the bed hair. *nods*

Cleaned the studio today. Because finally the huge pile of balancing papers I have on the chest of drawer teetered to the point of balancing no longer. I figured it was time to tackle that sorting and man, it never ceases to amaze me just how much of a fire hazard my home is. *snort* Occupational hazard, I guess. Good thing I don't smoke. Plus it's prolly about two years since I've seen the top surface of that chest. *lol*

And now I totally have an excuse to buy those awesome storage boxes from David Jones, the ones with the gorgeous jacquard and brocade or striped patterns that stack up. One for the writing group stuff, one for all my play programs, and one for bank statements. Oooooooooohhhhh! man, i am getting so old, i can't believe i just oohed about storage boxes. but they're really pretty!

I only just found out about Bea Arthur. *sad* And have begun Season Six. I was listening yesterday to her commentary on a couple of episodes of Season Five and was slightly surprised at how old she sounded. But I am glad it was peaceful. Dear Bea Arthur. You are awesome and will always be.

Mind you, I kinda wish all my favourite people would stop dying the moment I focus a degree of deeper interest on them. That's two this week. Should I be bracing myself for a third? Urgh. Please note, Michael Joseph Jackson and Gary Anthony James Webb and Steven Kilbey, thou art not allowed to die yet. That goes for you too, Georgette --- oh wait, sorry, nemmind.

Thanks to everyone who voted in the poll. Both the Aunt and my godmother have voted for the tunic outfit on the grounds of it being suitable for a deshi wedding. This from the Aunt: could you have possibly picked a higher heel on those shoes? They gave me a nose bleed just to look at! *lol*
