Well, your field is NOT "disabled fiction," it is "fiction." It is great to have repeating themes but you don't want to sound like a one-note talent. So as long as B is fiction, you can get away with either. The thing that you don't want to do is reply to A talking too much about disability and not enough about the actual writing, the style, what works, what doesn't, etc. As long as you can avoid doing this, A can work. I still suggest picking B, though.

I agree with the other comments, but I also think the MOST important thing is going to be the writing and analysis, not the topic. So pick the one you think you can do a more interesting essay about.
