The screaming throws Tom's whole routine off-so He and Mariel part quickly, Mariel heading for the infirmary and Tom slipping on his jacket and gun.

A bit of a wild looking individual standing in the doorway, "-What is it? What's going on?"

"Come inside," Monk says, pointing to an empty chair. "And sit. Someone's been killed. We're waiting for..."

... something. Zuko. Who, at the moment, is MIA.

"Just... stay in here."

Tom's eyes go wide, "Killed? What? Who? How?" He lowers the weapon, "-Did they breach the fenches?"

Tom's a straightforward lawman.

He's never seen this man before, "....what's happened?"

"Ron Weasley. Don't know. We're waiting on details."

And that's all Monk knows.

Quinn pushes the door open, peering around, and whistles a little at the incoming people before looking over his shoulder.

Padme follows him in, keeping hold of his hand. There are quite a few people here already.

Spoon pushes the door open. "Clarise? I can't find- oh, bugger."

He's just seen all the other people.

Monk's ears perk again.

"Can't find what?"

"Zuko," says Spoon bluntly. "I just went lookin' for him, in the inhabited rooms and out by the walls. He's not there. I can't find him anywhere. Is he in here?"

Hearing Spoon speak her name, Clarise disappears from her place in the room, and comes back into existence in the hall beside Spoon. The displaced space makes a *blink* sound.

"Did you find him?"

Tim seems to be trying hard not to throw up.

"She's not here. She's not here."

Meng's been sitting (read: huddled and clinging to) beside Molly, but she can't help but notice the agitated-looking young man. Slowly, carefully she goes over and sits beside him.

"Who's not here?" she asks gently.

"Death."

He stares at Ron, then away again.

"She should be here for him. But I don't see her. If she had been here, she would've stayed to talk to me."

Meng frowns a little. "Maybe...maybe he was taken by a different Death, one that you don't know."

Yeah. Totally grasping at straws here.

A black hole appeared in the air, and Iroh stepped through a portal from somewhere windy and high, and into the Common Area.

Everyone knew Iroh the Warrior, Iroh the Master, and especially Iroh the Friendly Uncle.

Today they would meet Iroh, the General, the Dragon of the West.

"Everyone, attention!" Any soldiers in the room might not be able to resiste the urge to stand at attention and salute.

He's got Munch's full attention. They may be from different worlds and Munch may be newly arrived, but he recognizes a soldier when he sees one.

He's quite right. Spoon doesn't even remember his knees straightening or his arm coming up, palm out. That just happened.

(Although he does notice Blink hasn't come through the portal herself.)

Hamel doesn't salute, but he does flick the brim of his hat in something that might, possibly, if you look at it sideways and squint... be seen as a sign of recognition and respect.

"Feh."

He's pissed, he's impatient...

He knows it isn't good news.
