I am channel-surfing, and have settled on "Miss America," at least for the time being. It's reminding me of watching the pageant at Ari's house many, many years ago. Maybe we were still in elementary school. Maybe it was middle school, I totally don't remember.

Anyways, that's the extent of my thoughts on Miss America.

Today I submitted my first paper for publication. All 55 pages of it. The good news is that it is done, and I am kind of proud of it. The bad news is that it was on a subject totally unrelated to my thesis, so now I need to buckle down and write my thesis. As my advisor says, September is not that far away. A miracle has occured in Princeton...there is actually now a good Thai restaurant, run by Thai people, within the township! The service is slow, the pad thai is disappointing, but the curries are SOOOOOO GOOOOOOD. The place is already doing brisk business, and it's been open less than two months. It appears we have a stray cat hanging out at our place. Chris was leaving tonight to go to his office when a cat darted through our front door. It is a large-ish solid grey cat ( a bit like a large Pootie) with green eyes. So, today I went to the pet store to look at the cats the animal shelters bring in on Sundays (not to get a kitten or two, but just to play with them a bit because I miss playing with cats). It turned out to be a bad idea, because my stress level has been so high, and my missing of cats so much that I ended up bursting in tears right in the pet ( Read more... )
