I've just finished reading Naked Empire by Terry Goodkind. It was released a while back, but for some reason, I did not buy the book until a few days ago. I thoroughly enjoyed the book except for the bit, where it ended. Admittedly, it's not his best piece of writing (the earlier books were better). Nevertheless, it was an amazing book. I don't think my friend and I are going to the New Year's Eve party after all - she hasn't called so I'm assuming she didn't get the tickets. No biggie really. I have *yet* to get a job, and am feeling a little bored.

In other news, I have decided to count my blessings from now on. It's so hard to focus on the positives in my life sometimes, when the world I live in seems so materialistic and shallow. 2nd day of summer - still windy, and there was still a little bit of rain in the earlier hours of the day. It's definitely warmer now, much more to my liking *nodnod* Apparently, the weather's supposed to be beautiful during the weekend. Too bad I'm not going anywhere.

Today is officially the first day of summer. And what's the weather like, I hear you ask? Well, it's raining, very windy and cold. In other words, it's nothing like summer.

Still no luck on the job front, I think I have rotten luck when it comes to jobs. Gaah. I gotta keep looking though, because my finances are dangerously low at the moment.
