Starbucks' "Green Tea Frappucino"

Aug 09, 2005 12:39

On Sunday, while we waited for our Seattle Underground tour to start, we went to Starbucks (it was the only open nearby coffee place!), and I got the Green Tea Frappucino. i always think green tea tastes fuzzy or dusty.
also, i really don't like the green tea frappuccino. maybe if you didn't get the melon syrup in it [there's melon syrup, green tea powder and milk/cream base in it] then it would taste more like tea?

flourtown, pennsylvania. starbucks has a way of bringing out some fierce add tendencies in my while i'm at work...there are just a million and three things that i'm thinking about that it's hard to actually remember what it is that i needed to do...

I found that it mostly tasted like a cream soda slurpee. That made graydon like it more (though he would also like one that actually did taste like green tea).

I tried the Blenz matcha latte here, which did pretty much taste like matcha with milk. Not bad, but I can just make my own and with soy milk.

Yeah, I can certainly taste the matcha in the Blenz Matcha Latte. I like it better than the silly Starbucks thing. Hmm. Make my own, you say? On the one hand, yum, and on the other hand, I have no room on my "mix this powder with milk" shelf (what with the Horlicks and the four things of Ovaltine). (;

I am determined to get a bag of matcha before the end of the week, you can see for yourself how little space it takes up.

Ah, but then I run into the "I shouldn't become addicted to new purchases" angle. I will squee at your bag of greenitude, though.
