Bike angels will probably not give you their phone numbers
As a baby Randonneur, I tend to carry more tools with me and know a bit more about general bike repair than most cyclists on the road. Knowing this, if I see a cyclist having mechanical trouble (and looking a bit confused), I'll often ask if they have everything they need or if they need some help (it is also what Randonneurs tend to do). I just came across this article, and while the accident itself is extremely discouraging, some of the comments from exclusive motorists who claim that cyclists need to be off the road are worse. I know that you're never supposed to actually read the comments on news sites, but the people who made these comments are controlling several tons of metal ( Read more... ) -
